Sadiq Khan has been playing politics with Notting Hill Police Station. He closed it to the public in 2017 – and in 6 years still hasn’t made his mind up on whether to sell it.
So Felicity has written an open letter signed by hundreds of local residents to the Mayor demanding he make a decision and save Notting Hill Police Station.
If he does sell it, Government has brought in a new law which allows Sadiq Khan to take community social value into account when selling disused police stations. That means he doesn't have to sell it to the highest bidder which could make it easier for Kensington and Chelsea Council to buy it.
We’ve made our position clear. If Sadiq Khan tries to sell it, then Kensington & Chelsea Conservative Council will bid for it – keeping it for community and police use.
