Developer Withdraws Pelham Street Traffic Management Plan

After pressure from local residents, RBKC and me, the Pelham Street developers have withdrawn their CTMP and proposed a series of amendments. I will continue to call on the developers to keep Pelham Street two-way 24/7 during the construction phase. One-way traffic will have significant knock on effects on traffic across South Kensington and into Chelsea.

The developer's updated proposals include: 

  • Open Pelham Street to two-way traffic at the weekends
  • Diversion route to be amended to divert vehicles northbound on Brompton Road and avoid using the Fulham Road / Sydney Place junction
  • Additional signage (such as below) is proposed at the junctions of nearby residential streets
