Today I attended the Kensington and Chelsea Over 50s Forum AGM, which was quite enlightening.
The members are dedicated to improving the lives of our older residents, focusing on healthcare, social support, and accessible housing. I was moved by the personal stories shared by attendees, which highlighted the challenges faced by our older population. This reinforced the need for immediate action to address these issues and ensure our seniors receive the attention they deserve. The Forum's efforts to promote active ageing and community engagement are important in combating loneliness and isolation. They provide opportunities for social interaction, learning, and physical well-being.
As their representative, I am committed to advocating for the Forum's objectives in Parliament.
Together, we can create a society that supports and values our over 50s, enabling them to live fulfilling lives with dignity.
