Meeting with Mike Martin

NHS Recovery

I met with Mike Martin, the newly appointed Assistant Director of the North Kensington Recovery Programme this afternoon.

I was also joined by Tony Devenish AM - we both congratulated Mike on his new appointment, which comes after three years of dedicated service to the North Kensington Recovery Programme.

I was pleased to hear that Mike has written to local residents, confirming that the work of his predecessor Mary Mullix will continue at pace, leading a "community-led recovery".

I discussed Mike's short and long-term goals, which he identified as being:

1. Strengthening communication

2. Ensuring the Programme is guided by the community's voice

3. Delivering the programme for 2024-2029

As part of my campaign Health First Kensington - my approach to improving health and wellbeing - I will continue to work closely with NHS partners to improve health outcomes and community confidence, particularly in North Kensington.
