South Kensington Station hosts around 34m customers a year serving a mixture of local residents and tourists.
Given South Kensington's host of cultural destinations, such as the Natural History Museum, V&A and Science Museum, the station is very busy every day.
This makes it even harder for residents using wheelchairs and prams to access the station forcing many to choose alternative means of transport.
That's why I'm calling for step-free access at South Kensington Tube Station.
Unfortunately, Sadiq Khan and the TfL/Native Land developers have created an unacceptable linkage between their inappropriate development plans for South Kensington and the right to step-free access.
Step free access should be delivered to South Kensington Tube regardless of any development plans. The two issues should be completely separate.
