I visited Barclays Bank in High Street Kensington today.
I had a wide ranging discussion, and I was particularly keen to discuss the closure of the Ladbroke Grove branch, which will take place in November.
I understand how important access to cash and in-person banking services is for my constituents, and I made this clear to the team at the branch.
Whilst the branch in Ladbroke Grove is closing, I have been reassured that Link ATM services and Post Office banking remain accessible in the area.
I also heard early plans for a community banking presence in North Kensington, and I will follow these developments closely.
More broadly, we discussed Barclays Lifeskills and the community provision the bank offers. I congratulated Aruna, who works in the branch, for 38 years of dedicated service to Kensington.
If you are concerned about the closure, or would like to know more about my commitment to retaining in-person banking services, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
