Congratulations to the Class of 2023!
Today marks A-Level results day, and our wonderful GCSE students also received their results this month.
I want to pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of our young residents, their teachers and support staff.
This particular cohort experienced unprecedented challenges, given the pandemic and remote learning. For A-Level students, this was the first set of formal examinations many would have experienced, given the Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs) at GCSE.
I know for some this year given the return to a 'traditional' marking environment they may not have received the grades they were hoping for. I encourage students to speak to their teachers about their options. In my capacity as an MP I will work closely with businesses in the coming months to ensure they are aware of the unique context in which the Class of 2023 studied.
Whether off to university, the workplace, or on to an apprenticeship, I wish all of Kensington's young residents every success for the future.
