Felicity Buchan has marked the first anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine by attending a service at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family.
Together with inter-faith leaders, supporters and the Ukrainian community, the MP for Kensington lit a candle of remembrance. Those present paid tribute to all those who have lost their lives in defending Ukraine. Kensington has the largest Ukrainian population of any constituency in the UK, and is also home to the Ukrainian embassy.
Felicity said:
"I was honoured to attend the very moving remembrance service at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Tragically, more than 450 children have died in the conflict. Paper angels were suspended from the ceiling in their honour. Ukraine will prevail. Slava Ukraini."
