Felicity Buchan Hails Passage of New Animal Welfare Laws

Felicity Buchan has hailed the passage of the Animal Welfare (Sentience) Act 2022 as a landmark reform to the UK's animal welfare regime.

The Act enshrines in law that animals are sentient beings and introduces on the spot fines for offenders of up to £5,000.

Felicity said:

"We are great animal lovers in Kensington. I am proud that the UK has one of the most robust animal welfare regime in the world and I will continue to work to ensure we have the highest standards."
