Since its inception in 2013, the Small Business Saturday campaign has engaged millions of people and has made a real difference to local businesses.
Consumer spending with small businesses on the Saturday alone has topped over £1 billion in recent years. Small businesses like our local butchers, coffee shops and hairdressers make up over 99% of all UK business and account for over half of business turnover and employment.
That's why I took a tour of Kensington to celebrate small businesses, and to promote their role in driving economic growth and job creation.
Please consider supporting small local businesses whilst Christmas shopping this year!
