Last week, Government passed key legislation to stop the boats and operationalise the partnership with Rwanda. This bill allows illegal migrants to have their asylum applications processed safely in Rwanda.
This will break the business model of the people smugglers and deter illegal entry. The bill will now go to the Lords.
The Prime Minister said, "It's now time for the Lords to pass this Bill. This is an urgent national priority."
