The Government is providing record levels of investment in our NHS.
And locally, the North West London Integrated Care Board has been allocated £4.43 billion for 2024/25. Now we are seeing the results of that investment.
Across Imperial College NHS Trust, there were 68 more full-time doctors and 232 more nurses in September 2023 than September 2022. In North West London, there were 47 more full-time GPs in December 2023 than December 2019.
In Kensington alone, there were 57 more full-time direct patient care staff working in general practice in September 2023 than there were in September 2019.
This is local delivery on this Government's commitment to recruit more nurses, doctors and primary care staff.
There's more to come, too. Under the The New Hospital Programme, expected to be backed by more than £20 billion of funding, St Mary's Hospital will be getting a complete rebuild. That means patients will receive top quality care at a brand new hospital when they need it.
There can be no doubt that this Government has taken bold action to support the NHS in Kensington, and I am enormously proud of that record.
