Felicity Buchan has supported Cancer Research UK in its 20th anniversary year.
Felicity met with the Cancer Research UK policy team in Parliament and discussed their work researching ground-breaking treatments for cancer. This work has been supported by £882 million of Government funding since 2010.
Felicity said:
"Having lost my friend James Brokenshire MP to cancer recently, I welcome the Government's commitment to get NHS cancer care back on track following the pandemic. The additional £8 billion that we will spend on the NHS over the next three years could deliver the equivalent of nine million more checks, scans and procedures. I am committed to ensuring that the NHS is fully equipped to provide robust and comprehensive cancer care."
