Felicity Buchan has met with the CEO of the National Flood Forum, Tracey Garrett, to discuss the July 2021 floods in Kensington.
The National Flood Forum is a community advocacy group that provides advice and support to those that have been flooded, as well as standing up for victims in Government policy discussions. The MP for Kensington discussed the problems around FloodRe and the additional measures that residents could take to make their homes more flood resilient.
Felicity said:
"Kensington was devastated by floods in July 2021, and I will not rest until we have the right short- and long-term solutions in place to ensure that something like this can never happen again. It was good to speak to the National Flood Forum about the services they can provide my constituents, and the work they are doing to advocate for victims."
