Felicity Buchan has marked the first anniversary of the Kensington floods today by visiting Portobello Road, a site of some of the worst flooding in July 2021. You can watch a video of her visit here.
The London Flood Review, set up after the July 2021 floods to assess how the flooding occured and how it could be prevented in a repeat event, has also published the final stage of its report. Felicity will be reading the report and updating residents in due course about its recommendations and next steps.
Felicity said:
"I am very concerned that the London Flood Review is not recommending major changes and investment to our sewerage system and our flooding infrastructure. Thames Water has allocated £10 million for flood alleviation measures, however I believe it is going to take an awful lot more to address the flooding in West London."
