Pupils at All Saints Catholic College in Notting Hill are participating in a ten-week pilot scheme allowing them to arrive at 7am and stay until 7pm, engaging in activities such as dodgeball, basketball, art, drama, and cookery classes.
This initiative, led by Headmaster Andrew O’Neill, aims to combat excessive phone use after school hours, with concerns raised about online safety and cyberbullying. The scheme, supported by Kensington and Chelsea Council and educational charities, costs parents £10 per week per pupil and is optional for children in years 7 and 8.
