Felicity Buchan MP joined Minister of State Rt Hon Robert Halfon (Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education) today for the re-opening of Morley College in North Kensington.
Reflecting on her visit, Felicity remarked: "I am absolutely delighted to be here today at Morley College. Government has invested an incredible £32 million in our college, it is a real show of how committed we are to North Kensington".
Felicity met with local students, staff representatives from the Department for Education and enjoyed touring the new facilities.
Minister Halfon noted:
"Felicity champions skills, she champions investment. She helped lead a lot of the funds for this college. I am really excited to be here because it is a brilliant college. We as a Government are investing in skills, investing in apprenticeships, in quality qualifications.
He also added, "We are providing a ladder of opportunity for young people and adults to climb up - to get good jobs, good skills, security and prosperity - for themselves and their families".
