Following the Earl’s Court Crime Meeting for residents in January 2023, Felicity has followed developments closely. There has been a 43% decrease in reported crimes when comparing March 2023 to March 2022. Local police have taken concrete steps to tackle crime, including -
- A Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) panel has been established, targeting repeat offenders and banning them from the area.
- Operation Nightingale has extended funding to a business improvement officer
- The Police are working closely with Public Order Planning to ensure local events are appropriately resourced.
- New cameras will and have been installed in the local area to reduce ASB and offending.
- A Joint Action Group continues to meet to target problem addresses in Earl’s Court
Reflecting on the developments, Felicity noted:
“I am grateful to our local Police who have worked to secure these positive outcomes. I know there is more to do. To that end, I encourage residents to continue reporting crimes, and to share any concerns so that our officers can most effectively police Earl's Court".
